  报告摘要:

The facility for antiproton and ion research (FAIR) will provide a unique accelerator complex with heavy ion beams up to 10 GeV/u and highest intensities. Besides the existing target stations dedicated to materials research at the UNILAC (M-branch, X0 and microprobe) and at the existing synchrotron SIS 18 (Cave A) additional target stations will be available in the APPA Cave and at the new storage ring CRYRING. The commissioning with beamline for dedicated material research experiment will be set-up this year. The advantage of CRYRING is the flexibility of beams in terms of energy and charge state of the ion. The future APPA cave hosts the high energy BIOMAT beamline. The target area will be equipped with an efficient sample excharge systems for irradiation of small biological or material samples and large components in air, a multi-port UHV chamber for irradiation and in-situ material analysis under high vacuum conditions, as well as special high-pressure devices to simultaneously expose samples to pressure, temperature, and energetic ions.

  报告人简介:

Daniel Severin received the Mater and Ph.D in Chemistry from the Phlipps University Marburg in 2004 and 2008, respectively, in which the doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Ensinger. From 2010 to 2013 and 2013 to 2014, he joined GSI and BIOMAT GSI as a staff scientist on material research and rare isotope beams of BIOMAT, GSI. His research interests include the following areas: basic process of high energetic ion-solid-interaction (material under extreme conditions), ion beam include material modifications, beamline instrumentation with focus on the development of on-line and in-situ techniques (AFM, SEM, FTIR, UV/Vis, XRD, SAXS/WAXS, SIMS).
